Arsenal recorded another 3 points to stay top of the Premier League after they beat North London rivals Tottenham 2-1.
Aresnal went ahead on the 48th minute thanks to a fine strike by Emmanuel Adebayor who was set-up by a back-heel from midfielder Cesc Fabregas. Dimitar Berbatov brought Tottenham level on the 66th minute with a powerful strike. Robbie Keane had a penalty saved by Manuel Almunia after Kolo Toure brought down Berbatov in the area.
Nicklas Bendtner came on in the second half and scored the winner from a Fabregas corner. Bendtner was on the pitch for less than a minute before he grabbed the winner.
That goal has left Tottenham without a victory against Arsenal in the last 8 years.
21 year-old midfielder Jamie O'Hara was given a first start by Spurs manager Juande Ramos. O'Hara resultantly had a terrible first half. However Tottenham played as a unit in the first-half and kept the Gunners attacking chances to a minimum. Mathieu Flamini had a few shots early on but did not cause the Spurs goalkeeper any problems.
Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson had to make a good save to stop a shot from Emmanuel Eboue and also a header from Toure. Spurs were looking strong at the back even without King in the center of the back-line.
3 minutes into the second-half the match started to create some clear-cut chances. Fabregas set-up Adebayor with a sublime back-heel, which he duly dispatched to the back of the net.
Spurs could have equalised on the 65th minute when Robbie Keane’s sweetly struck volley crashed against the crossbar from 8 yards out. Shortly after Berbatov was set-up with a nice flick from Robbie Keane. Berbatov found the target with a powerful strike and brought Spurs level again.
Tottenham nearly took the lead on the 71st minute when Berbatov was fouled by Toure in the area. Robbie Keane took the penalty but it was not good enough to get past the diving Arsenal goalkeeper.
Jermain Defoe then came on for Robbie Keane and Bendtner then replaced Eboue.
With Bendtner's first touch on the ball he found the back of the net with a towering header to connect with a Fabregas corner. Bendtner was literally just on the pitch.
