Derby hope to have Kenny Miller back for the clash against West Ham on Saturday as they look for a good result to get off the bottom of the table.
But they have defensive problems with both Claude Davis and Andy Todd missing as they look to bounce back from last weekend’s 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa.
Sitting an equal distance from the relegation places as they are from a European spot, Alan Curbishley knows that a win against the Premiership’s leakiest defence and weakest attacks is vital.
West Ham are likely to be without Mark Noble who is expected to unavailable for at least the next fortnight. But they will welcome back Freddie Ljungberg, Dean Ashton and James Collins who all hope to return to first team action as the London side look to move into the top half of the table.
