Fulham go into the game with only two league wins in their last 20 Premiership games. And their growing injury list means that their home game with Portsmouth will be a tough one in which to end such a dismal top flight record.
Goalkeeper Kasey Keller seems set to retain his place in goal and Diomansy Kamara may be only on the bench. But Sanchez’s main problem is the number of players he’s missing, which include the injured Lee Cook, Brian McBride, Moritz Volz, Philippe Christanval and Ian Pearce.
In contrast, Harry Redknapp’s only worry for the trip to London is striker Kanu who has a knee injury and is rated doubtful for the clash. His likely replacement, Benjani, is ready to step in after scoring a hat-trick in last week’s 7-4 victory over Reading.
With no other injury worries, Pompey are expected to name an unchanged side and fans will be wondering what to expect after their surprising scoreline a week ago which set a Premier League record for the most goals in a game.
