David Moyes will look to build on Everton’s comprehensive victory at Sheffield Wednesday in midweek with another good win at home to Borough.
Everton defenders Tony Hibbert and Nuno Valente are doubtful and join Andrew Johnson (groin) on the “maybe” list for the game. Thomas Gravesen is still out but Mikel Arteta may return after recovering from an ankle injury.
Alan Stubbs is likely to keep his place in defence while Johnson’s injury could mean that Yakubu and McFadden will resume their partnership up front.
Gareth Southgate is boosted by the news that Jonathan Woodgate (groin) and summer signing Mido (hamstring) are both available and may return for the trip to Merseyside.
Gary O’Neil is also ready to return but Tuncay Sanli (shin) is a doubt and Emanuel Pogatetz and Julio Arca are both out with knee injuries and join Jeremie Aliadiere (hamstring) on the sidelines.
