I was watching the Blackburn game on TV on Sunday when it flashed on the screen that George Ndah had scored in the first minute at Birmingham. My first reaction was to ring him up. Then I remembered he was out there playing.
Warnock's side have notched up 15 defeats in the Premiership so far - and puts the blame on other 'disrespectful' managers.
"Look at the table," he said. "We're fourth from bottom, and I'll tell you why. Whenever teams play Sheffield United, they put out teams that are far better than ours. How can that be allowed?
"Other managers are picking players knowing full well they are much better than ours, and I think something needs to be done about it." Warnock, who rested several key players when the club had two games in three days over Christmas, believes there may be an FA conspiracy at the heart of the issue.
"Look at the England side," he said. "They consistently pick the best players. And they're all English. It's unbelievable."
